My lawyer and the Disability judge did not hit it off. He has been around a long time and the judge, has been around but this was their first meeting. For the first twenty minutes he basically yelled at my lawyer for not being prepared. He informed him he had not written my brief and he did not have an outline. Plus the judge had not received my entire medical history, I did not understand that because I personally gave my history to the lady who took my application.

Here is how mine went: The lady who was to take my application did not show up for work that day, I had my appointment for three weeks and I needed some help to fill out the forms. The lady who took over my application, seemed very nice at first. After the first hour the lady said for me to finish my own application at home on my computer. I told her that, as I had told them, I felt better if they would help me. The other three ladies around us were very in to their clients.

Apparently, there had been someone behind me making hand signals for her to come talk to them and even called them on the intercom. She seemed to really get mad and told me I probably would not get SSD. I was quite shocked at her attitude, I guess she needed a break. I was turned down within 14 days, a real quick return. I hired a lawyer and I guess I just kept going down hill from there.

The lawyer had me give him my papers, I said I would like to have a copy of what I gave him, about 6 pages and he told me all papers were his property and I did not need them. This was after a good interview, me signing his contract and handing over my denial. I should have ran but I went through with it. He would not tell us his winning or loosing ratio, surprise. He wrote a letter and within one week I received a call from a lady at the SSD office.. Please do not get mad a me for this statement, the next five minutes was a pulling hair out call. She was oriental and I could not understand her speech, she probably had a rough time with mine. She ended it by saying, "you no go to doc enough", she had to had said that five times. I just started crying.

Next, my hearing came up five months later. We walked in and within one minute all that judge did was yell at my attorney. He said he would throw out the hearing and start over. In the mean time he sent me to two doctors. I was so happy finally, I would get some help. I was sent to one for depression, instead I had to add two plus two and did that for an hour and a half and saw the doctor for 8 minutes. If I could not give him the answers he told me what they were and told me I was OK.

Next I was sent to a doctor who was to spend one hour with me and go over 7 or 8 items with me. Again, I arrived with the attitude I would get real help and some answers. I saw him for 12 minutes and I had one x-ray. I completely lost it. I told this doctor what was told to me and he said"there is nothing I can do, I run an office". I do know he received 175.oo for 12 minutes and 48.00 for his billing and one paragraph report, the x/ray was billed separate.

The doctors I have seen are with the free/low pay clinics and they do not want to be involve. It has been now another 5 months and now my attorney does not even return my calls or e-mails.

I want to know if I should call the judge's office, and start over with a new judge and/or a new attorney. Apparently my attorney did not do his job and my judge was too busy putting him in his place. I am still unable to work or get any medical help. I have neck C3,C4 discs out, back L5,L6 are bulging, knee completely gone with a bent leg, hip going, hurt my rotar cuff, diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain, can not walk or sit for long and only sleep for thirty minutes at a time for pan, major depression, anxiety and all this is documented. I have worked since I was 17 and had to slow down at 53 and now I am 56. What is your opinion?
